Immunogen
A synthetic peptide from aa region 600-650 of rabbit TRPV1 conjugated to blue carrier protein was used as the antigen.
The location of the epitope is highlighted in
green.
Accession
Also known
Transient receptor potential cation channel subfamily V member 1, osm-9-like TRP channel 1, OTRPC1, Vanilloid receptor 1, Vanilloid receptor type 1-like, Capsaicin receptor, transient receptor potential cation channel, subfamily V, member 1, Vr1, Vr1l1
Target
FUNCTION: Receptor-activated non-selective calcium permeant cation channel involved in detection of noxious chemical and thermal stimuli. Seems to mediate proton influx and may be involved in intracellular acidosis in nociceptive neurons. May be involved in mediation of inflammatory pain and hyperalgesia. SUBCELLULAR LOCATION: Cell membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein.
TISSUE SPECIFICITY: Predominantly expressed in trigeminal and dorsal root sensory ganglia. Isoform 1 and isoform 3 are also expressed in brain and peripheral blood mononuclear cells.
Storage
Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
Expiry Date
12 months after reconstitution
Shipping
This item will be shipped to you at ambient temperature in a lyophilised form.
