Immunogen
A synthetic peptide from mouse contactin 4 conjugated to blue carrier protein was used as the antigen.
Accession
Also known
Brain-derived immunoglobulin superfamily protein 2, Kiaa3024, contactin 4, BIG-2, SCA16, CNTN4A
Target
FUNCTION: Contactins mediate cell surface interactions during nervous system development. Has some neurite outgrowth-promoting activity. May be involved in synaptogenesis.
SUBCELLULAR LOCATION: Cell membrane; Lipid-anchor, GPI-anchor. Secreted.
TISSUE SPECIFICITY: Expressed in the region of developing olfactory neurons. Isoform 2 is expressed in mature sensory cells of the vomeronasal neuroepithelium and at lower level in olfactory neuroepithelium.
DEVELOPMENTAL STAGE: Expressed from E14 at a time when developing axons reach the olfactory bulb.
Storage
Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
Expiry Date
12 months after reconstitution
Shipping
This item will be shipped to you at ambient temperature in a lyophilised form.
