Immunogen
A synthetic peptide from human Arg3.1 (ARC) conjugated to blue carrier protein was used as the antigen. The peptide is homologous in rat and mouse.
Accession
Also known
Activity-regulated cytoskeleton-associated protein, Activity-regulated gene 3.1 protein homolog, Arg3.1/ARC,
Target
FUNCTION: Required for consolidation of synaptic plasticity as well as formation of long-term memory. Regulates endocytosis of AMPA receptors in response to synaptic activity. Required for homeostatic synaptic scaling of AMPA receptors.
SUBCELLULAR LOCATION: Cytoplasm, cytoskeleton. Endosome. Acrosome. Cell junction, synapse, postsynaptic cell membrane, postsynaptic density. Cell projection, dendrite. Cell projection, dendritic spine. Cell junction, synapse. Note=Associated with the cell cortex of neuronal soma and dendrites. Enriched in postsynaptic density of dendritic spines. Associated with the sperm tail.
Storage
Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
Expiry Date
12 months after reconstitution
Shipping
This item will be shipped to you at ambient temperature in a lyophilised form.
