Immunogen
A synthetic peptide from human SCP1 conjugated to blue carrier protein was used as the antigen.
Accession
Also known
Synaptonemal complex protein 1, SCP-1, Cancer/testis antigen 8, CT8
Target
Function: Major component of the transverse filaments of synaptonemal complexes (SCS), formed between homologous chromosomes during meiotic prophase. Required for normal assembly of the central element of the synaptonemal complexes. Required for normal centromere pairing during meiosis. Required for normal meiotic chromosome synapsis during oocyte and spermatocyte development and for normal male and female fertility.
SUBCELLULAR LOCATION: Central element; chromosome, centromeric region; male germ cell nucleus; synaptonemal complex; transverse filament
Tissue specificity: Testis
Storage
Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
Expiry Date
12 months after reconstitution
Shipping
This item will be shipped to you at ambient temperature in a lyophilised form.
