Immunogen
The synthetic peptide "C-QNTRDHPSTANTVDRTNHQLENLEAE" from human Mu Opioid Receptor (aa 370-395) conjugated to blue carrier protein was used as the antigen. The peptide shares 96% identity with mouse and rat sequences.
Accession
Also known
M-OR-1, MOR-1, Mu opiate receptor, MOP, OPRM1, MOR1
Target
Function: Receptor for endogenous opioids such as beta-endorphin and endomorphin. Receptor for natural and synthetic opioids including morphine, heroin, DAMGO, fentanyl, etorphine, buprenorphin and methadone.
Tissue specificity: Expressed in brain. Isoform 16 and isoform 17 are detected in brain.
Subcellular location: Cell membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein; Isoform 12 : Cytoplasm
Storage
Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
Expiry Date
12 months after reconstitution
