Immunogen
A synthetic peptide from aa region 1140-1190 of human IP3 receptor isoform 1 conjugated to blue carrier protein was used as the antigen. The peptide shares 88% identity with rat and mouse sequences.
Accession
Also known
Inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate receptor type 3, IP3 receptor isoform 3, IP3R 3, InsP3R3, Type 3 inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate receptor, Type 3 InsP3 receptor, ITPR3, INSP3R1
Target
FUNCTION: Intracellular channel that mediates calcium release from the endoplasmic reticulum following stimulation by inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate. Plays a role in ER stress-induced apoptosis. Cytoplasmic calcium released from the ER triggers apoptosis by the activation of CaM kinase II, eventually leading to the activation of downstream apoptosis pathways.
SUBCELLULAR LOCATION: Endoplasmic reticulum membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein.
TISSUE SPECIFICITY: Widely expressed.
Storage
Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
Expiry Date
12 months after reconstitution
Shipping
This item will be shipped to you at ambient temperature in a lyophilised form.
