Immunogen
A synthetic peptide from aa region of 29-45 of human Glycine receptor subunit alpha 2 conjugated to blue carrier protein was used as the antigen. The peptide shares 93% identity with rat and mouse sequences.
Accession
Also known
GLRA2
Target
FUNCTION: The glycine receptor is a neurotransmitter-gated ion channel. Binding of glycine to its receptor increases the chloride conductance and thus produces hyperpolarization (inhibition of neuronal firing). Subcellular location: Cell junction ⺠synapse ⺠postsynaptic cell membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein. Cell membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein.
Storage
Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
Expiry Date
12 months after reconstitution
Shipping
This item will be shipped to you at ambient temperature in a lyophilised form.
