Immunogen

A synthetic peptide from aa region 290-340 of mouse NBR1 conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the antigen. The peptide is homologous in rat and shares 98% identity with human sequence.

Target

Function: Acts probably as a receptor for selective autophagosomal degradation of ubiquitinated targets.
Subcellular location: Cytoplasm, Cytoplasmic vesicle âº autophagosome. Lysosome. Cytoplasm âº myofibril âº sarcomere âº M line. Note: In cardiac muscles localizes to the sarcomeric M line. Is targeted to lysosomes for degradation.
Tissue specificity: Expressed in brain.

Storage

Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
