Immunogen
A synthetic peptide from aa region 520-570 of human PARIS conjugated to blue carrier protein was used as the antigen. The peptide is homologous in rat and mouse.
Accession
Also known
Zinc finger protein 746, Parkin-interacting substrate, ZNF746
Target
FUNCTION: Transcription repressor that specifically binds to the 5'-TATTTT[T/G]-3' consensus sequence on promoters and repress transcription of PGC-1-alpha (PPARGC1A), thereby playing a role in regulation of neuron death.
SUBCELLULAR LOCATION: Cytoplasm. Nucleus Probable. Note: Mainly localizes to the cytoplasm; probably translocates to the nucleus to repress selected genes.
Tissue specificity: Widely expressed. In brain, it is heterogeneously distributed throughout the brain and localizes to neurons, including substantia nigra pars compacta dopamine-containing neurons. Weakly expressed in cerebellum and midbrain.
Storage
Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
Expiry Date
12 months after reconstitution
Shipping
This item will be shipped to you at ambient temperature in a lyophilised form.
