Immunogen
A synthetic peptide from aa region 300-364 of human CD33 conjugated to blue carrier protein was used as the antigen.
Accession
Also known
Myeloid cell surface antigen CD33, Sialic acid-binding Ig-like lectin 3, Siglec-3, gp67, SIGLEC3
Target
Function: Putative adhesion molecule of myelomonocytic-derived cells that mediates sialic-acid dependent binding to cells. Preferentially binds to alpha-2,6-linked sialic acid. Induces apoptosis in acute myeloid leukemia (in vitro).
Subcellular location: Cell membrane; Single-pass type I membrane protein.
Tissue specificity: Monocytic/myeloid lineage cells.
Storage
Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
Expiry Date
12 months after reconstitution
Shipping
This item will be shipped to you at ambient temperature in a lyophilised form.
