Immunogen
A synthetic peptide from aa region 1500-1581 of human ABCC8 conjugated to blue carrier protein was used as the antigen.
Accession
Also known
ATP-binding cassette sub-family C member 8, Sulfonylurea receptor 1, HRINS, SUR, SUR1
Target
FUNCTION: Putative subunit of the beta-cell ATP-sensitive potassium channel (KATP). Regulator of ATP-sensitive K+ channels and insulin release.
Defects in ABCC8 are a cause of leucine-induced hypoglycemia (LIH).
Defects in ABCC8 are a cause of diabetes mellitus permanent neonatal (PNDM).
Defects in ABCC8 are the cause of transient neonatal diabetes mellitus type 2 (TNDM2).
Subcellular location: Membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein.
Storage
Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
Expiry Date
12 months after reconstitution
Shipping
This item will be shipped to you at ambient temperature in a lyophilised form.
