A synthetic peptide from aa region 1300-1400 of mouse FAM38A conjugated to blue carrier protein was used as the antigen.

Piezo type mechanosensitive ion channel component 1, PIEZO1

FUNCTION: Component of mechanosensitive channel required for the mechanosensitive currents. Plays a key role in epithelial cell adhesion by maintaining integrin activation through R-Ras recruitment to the ER, most probably in its activated state, and subsequent stimulation of calpain signaling. Overexpression in multiple cell lines generates robust mechanosensitive cation currents that are non-selective, exhibit a linear current voltage relationship, and are sensitive to ruthenium red and gadolinium.

Tissue specificity: Expressed in bladder, colon, kidney, lung, and skin.

Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
