Target

Function: Receptor for neuropeptide Y and peptide YY. The rank order of affinity of this receptor for pancreatic polypeptides is NPY = PYY >= NPY (2-36) = [Leu-31, Pro-34] NPY > NPY (13-36) > PP. The activity of this receptor is mediated by G proteins that inhibits adenylate cyclase activity.
Subcellular location: Cell membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein.
Tissue specificity: Kidney and discrete regions of the hypothalamus including the suprachiasmatic nucleus, anterior hypothalamus, bed nucleus stria terminalis, and the ventromedial nucleus.

Storage

Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
