FUNCTION: Involved in the regulation of endosome-to-lysosome trafficking, including endocytic trafficking of EGF-EGFR complexes and GABA-A receptors.
SUBCELLULAR LOCATION: Cytoplasm. Nucleus. Mitochondrion. Early endosome. Endosome. Note: Predominantly associated with early endosome. The localization to early endosomes depends on its interaction with HRS.
TISSUE SPECIFICITY: High expression in spinal cord and moderate expression in all other tissues and specific brain regions examined. Expressed in all cell lines examined.
Over-expressed in all investigated carcinomas, especially in gastric adenocarcinoma and signet-ring carcinoma and may serve as a marker of gastric cancer.

Storage
Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
