Immunogen

Target
FUNCTION: May play a role at the plasma membrane in the maintenance of the structure of epithelial cells and in the transmission of extracellular signals to the membrane and cytoskeleton.
Subcellular location: Cell junction. Cell membrane; Peripheral membrane protein. Note: Localized at sites of cell-cell contact.
Tissue specificity: Highly expressed in the placenta and prostate. Expressed at a lower level in the thyroid, spinal cord, trachea, adrenal gland, skeletal muscle, pancreas, heart, brain, liver and kidney. A short splice product shows more limited expression, being absent from at least the brain.

Storage
Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
