Target
Function: Voltage-independent, cation-nonselective channel which is permeable to sodium, potassium and calcium ions. Responsible for the background sodium ion leak current in neurons and controls neuronal excitability. Activated either by neuropeptides substance P or neurotensin. Required for normal respiratory rhythm and neonatal survival.
Tissue specificity: Widely expressed in the brain and spinal cord neurons.

Storage
Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
