Immunogen
A synthetic peptide from aa region of 10-70 of mouse SOX2 conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the antigen.
Accession
Also known
Transcription factor SOX-2, Sox-2
Target
FUNCTION: Transcription factor that forms a trimeric complex with OCT4 on DNA and controls the expression of a number of genes involved in embryonic development such as YES1, FGF4, UTF1 and ZFP206. Critical for early embryogenesis and for embryonic stem cell pluripotency.
Subcellular location: Nucleus
Tissue specificity: Expressed in the brain and retina. A very low level expression is seen in the stomach and lung. Expressed in developing urogenital ridge.
Storage
Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
Expiry Date
12 months after reconstitution
Shipping
This item will be shipped to you at ambient temperature in a lyophilised form.
