Immunogen
A synthetic peptide from n-terminal region of human Synaptic vesicle glycoprotein 2A (SV2A) conjugated to blue carrier protein was used as the antigen.

SV2A
Target
FUNCTION: Plays a role in the control of regulated secretion in neural and endocrine cells, enhancing selectively low-frequency neurotransmission. Positively regulates vesicle fusion by maintaining the readily releasable pool of secretory vesicles. Receptor for the botulinium neurotoxin type A/BOTA.
SUBCELLULAR LOCATION: Cytoplasmic vesicle ⺠secretory vesicle ⺠synaptic vesicle membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein. Note: Enriched in chromaffin granules, not present in adrenal microsomes. Associated with both insulin granules and synaptic-like microvesicles in insulin-secreting cells of the pancreas
Tissue specificity: Widely expressed throughout the brain (at protein level). Expressed by neural and endocrine cells of brain and spinal cord.
Storage
Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
Expiry Date
12 months after reconstitution
Shipping
This item will be shipped to you at ambient temperature in a lyophilised form.
