Immunogen
A synthetic peptide from c-terminal region of human Neuron specific vesicular protein calcyon (Calcyon, Caly) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein has been used as the antigen.
Accession
Also known
CALY, Calcyon, Drd1ip
Target
Function: Interacts with clathrin light chain A and stimulates clathrin self-assembly and clathrin-mediated endocytosis.
SUBCELLULAR LOCATION: Cytoplasmic vesicle membrane; Single-pass membrane protein. Cell membrane; Single-pass membrane protein
Tissue specificity: Expressed in the pyramidal cells of the prefrontal cortex, in hippothalamus and in caudate nucleus. No expression in spleen. Up-regulated in the prefrontal cortex of schizophrenic patients with nearly twice the levels of non-schizophrenics.
Storage
Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
Expiry Date
12 months after reconstitution
