Immunogen
A synthetic peptide from c-terminal region of mature human Repulsive guidance molecule C (RGMC, Hemojuvelin) conjugated to blue carrier protein was used as the antigen.
Accession
Also known
RGMC, Hemojuvelin, Hemochromatosis type 2 protein, RGM domain family member C, HFE2, HJV
Target
Function: Member of the repulsive guidance molecule (RGM) family. Involved in iron metabolism. Acts as a bone morphogenetic protein (BMP) coreceptor. Enhancement of BMP signaling regulates hepcidin (HAMP) expression and iron metabolism. May cooperate with hepcidin to restrict iron absorption in the gut. Could represent the cellular receptor for hepcidin.
Subcellular location: Cell membrane; Lipid-anchor ⺠GPI-anchor
Tissue specificity: Adult and fetal liver, heart, and skeletal muscle.
Storage
Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
Expiry Date
12 months after reconstitution
Shipping
This item will be shipped to you at ambient temperature in a lyophilised form.
