Target
FUNCTION: One gap junction consists of a cluster of closely packed pairs of transmembrane channels, the connexons, through which materials of low MW diffuse from one cell to a neighboring cell. Involved in tracer coupling between horizontal cells of the retina. May play a role in the regulation of horizontal cell patterning.
Tissue specificity: Expressed in skeletal muscle and heart.

Storage
Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
