Target
Function: Neuronal cell surface protein thought to be involved in cell-cell-interactions by forming intercellular junctions through binding to beta-neurexins. May play a role in formation or maintenance of synaptic junctions. May also play a role in glia-glia or glia-neuron interactions in the developing peripheral nervous system. Defects in NLGN3 may be the cause of susceptibility to X-linked Asperger syndrome 1 (ASPGX1). ASPGX1 is considered to be a form of childhood autism.

Tissue specificity: Expressed in olfactory bulb and olfactory epithelium. Found in olfactory ensheathing glia but not in olfactory neurons, and in developing peripheral glia.
Storage
Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
