Immunogen
A synthetic peptide from n-terminal region of human Amphiphysin (AMPH) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the antigen.
Accession
Also known
AMPH
Target
FUNCTION: May participate in mechanisms of regulated exocytosis in synapses and certain endocrine cell types. May control the properties of the membrane associated cytoskeleton. Antibodies against AMPH are detected in patients with stiff-man syndrome, a rare disease of the central nervous system characterized by progressive rigidity of the body musculature with superimposed painful spasms.
SUBCELLULAR LOCATION: Cytoplasmic vesicle ⺠secretory vesicle ⺠synaptic vesicle membrane; Peripheral membrane protein; Cytoplasmic side. Cytoplasm ⺠cytoskeleton
Tissue specificity: Neurons, certain endocrine cell types and spermatocytes.
Storage
Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
Expiry Date
12 months after reconstitution
Shipping
This item will be shipped to you at ambient temperature in a lyophilised form.
