Immunogen
A synthetic peptide from human AQP0 conjugated to blue carrier protein was used as the antigen..
Accession
Also known
MIP, Lens fiber major intrinsic protein, Aquaporin-0, MIP26, MP26, MIP, AQP0
Target
FUNCTION: Water channel. May be responsible for regulating the osmolarity of the lens.
Tissue specificity: Expressed exclusively in duodenum and jejunum. Highest expression in absorptive epithelial cells at the tips of villi in the jejunum. Aquaporins contain two tandem repeats each containing three membrane-spanning domains and a pore-forming loop with the signature motif Asn-Pro-Ala (NPA).
SUBCELLULAR LOCATION: Cell membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein. Cell junction ⺠gap junction
Tissue specificity: Major component of lens fiber gap junctions.
Storage
Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
Expiry Date
12 months after reconstitution
Shipping
This item will be shipped to you at ambient temperature in a lyophilised form.
