Immunogen
A synthetic peptide from the internal region of human Aryl hydrocarbon interacting protein like 1 (AIPL1) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the immunogen.
Accession
Also known
Aryl-hydrocarbon-interacting protein-like 1, AIPL1
Target
Function: May be important in protein trafficking and/or protein folding and stabilization. Defects in AIPL1 are the cause of Leber congenital amaurosis type 4 (LCA4). LCA designates a clinically and genetically heterogeneous group of childhood retinal degenerations, generally inherited in an autosomal recessive manner. Affected infants have little or no retinal photoreceptor function as tested by electroretinography. LCA represents the most common genetic cause of congenital visual impairment in infants and children.
Subcellular location: Cytoplasm. Nucleus.
Tissue specificity: Highly expressed in retina. Specifically localized to the developing photoreceptor layer and within the photoreceptors of the adult retina.
Storage
Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
Expiry Date
12 months after reconstitution
Shipping
This item will be shipped to you at ambient temperature in a lyophilised form.
