Immunogen
A synthetic peptide from the n-terminal region of human ALDH3A1 conjugated to blue carrier protein was used as the antigen.
Accession
Also known
AL3A1, Aldehyde dehydrogenase, dimeric NADP-preferring, Aldehyde dehydrogenase family 3 member A1, Aldehyde dehydrogenase 3, ALDHIII, ALDH3A1, ALDH3
Target
ALDHs play a major role in the detoxification of alcohol-derived acetaldehyde. They are involved in the metabolism of corticosteroids, biogenic amines, neurotransmitters, and lipid peroxidation. This protein preferentially oxidizes aromatic aldehyde substrates. It may play a role in the oxidation of toxic aldehydes.
Catalytic activity: An aldehyde + NAD(P)+ + H2O = an acid + NAD(P)H.
Subcellular location: Cytoplasm.
Tissue specificity: High levels in stomach, esophagus and lung; low level in the liver and kidney.
Storage
Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
Expiry Date
12 months after reconstitution
Shipping
This item will be shipped to you at ambient temperature in a lyophilised form.
