Target
Function: pH-dependent, voltage insensitive, outwardly rectifying potassium channel. Outward rectification is lost at high external K+ concentrations. Inhibited by quinine, quinidine and external acidification.
Tissue specificity: Abundant expression in kidney, also detected in liver, placenta and small intestine. In the kidney, expression is restricted to the distal tubules and collecting ducts. Not expressed in proximal tubules or glomeruli.
Subcellular location: Membrane, Multi-pass membrane protein.
Storage
Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
