Immunogen
A synthetic peptide from human KCNMB2 conjugated to blue carrier protein was used as the antigen. The antigen is homologous in rat and mouse.
Accession
Also known
Calcium-activated potassium channel subunit beta-2, Calcium-activated potassium channel, subfamily M subunit beta-2, Maxi K channel subunit beta-2, BK channel subunit beta-2, BKbeta2, Hbeta2, Hbeta3, K(VCA)beta-2, Slo-beta-2, Charybdotoxin receptor subunit beta-21
Target
Function: Regulatory subunit of the calcium activated potassium KCNMA1 (maxiK) channel. Modulates the calcium sensitivity and gating kinetics of KCNMA1, thereby contributing to KCNMA1 channel diversity. Acts as a negative regulator that confers rapid and complete inactivation of KCNMA1 channel complex.
Subcellular location: Membrane, Multi-pass membrane protein.
Storage
Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
Expiry Date
12 months after reconstitution
Shipping
This item will be shipped to you at ambient temperature in a lyophilised form.
