Immunogen
A synthetic peptide from the c-terminal region of human KCNN4 conjugated to blue carrier protein was used as the antigen. The peptide is homologous in rat and mouse.
Accession
Also known
Intermediate conductance calcium-activated potassium channel protein 4, SK4, KCa4, IKCa1, IK1, IK1, IKCA1, KCA4, SK4
Target
Function: Forms a voltage-independent potassium channel that is activated by intracellular calcium. Activation is followed by membrane hyperpolarization which promotes calcium influx. The channel is blocked by clotrimazole and charybdotoxin but is insensitive to apamin.
Subcellular location: Membrane, Multi-pass membrane protein.
Tissue specificity: Widely expressed in non-excitable tissues.
Storage
Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
Expiry Date
12 months after reconstitution
Shipping
This item will be shipped to you at ambient temperature in a lyophilised form.
