Immunogen
A synthetic peptide from the 1t extracellular domain of mouse 5HT3A receptor conjugated to blue carrier protein was used as the antigen. The peptide shares 86% identity with rat sequence.
Accession
Also known
5-HT3R, 5-HT-3, Serotonin receptor 3A, Htr3a, 5ht3, Htr3, Serotonin gated ion channel receptor
Target
FUNCTION: This is one of the several different receptors for 5-hydroxytryptamine (serotonin), a biogenic hormone that functions as a neurotransmitter, a hormone, and a mitogen. This receptor is a ligand-gated ion channel, which when activated causes fast, depolarizing responses in neurons. It is a cation-specific, but otherwise relatively nonselective, ion channel.
Subcellular location: Cell junction ⺠synapse ⺠postsynaptic cell membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein. Cell membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein.
Tissue specificity: Expressed in central and peripheral neurons.
Induction: By nerve growth factor in PC12 cells.
Storage
Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
Expiry Date
12 months after reconstitution
Shipping
This item will be shipped to you at ambient temperature in a lyophilised form.
