Immunogen
A synthetic peptide from aa region 20-70 of mouse NPY (Neuropeptide Y) conjugated to blue carrier protein was used as the immunogen. The antigen is homologous in many other species including human, rat, zebrafish and xenopus.
Accession
Also known
Neuropeptide Y, Neuropeptide tyrosine, C-flanking peptide of NPY, CPON
Target
Function: NPY is implicated in the control of feeding and in secretion of gonadotrophin-release hormone.
Subcellular location: Secreted
Tissue specificity: One of the most abundant peptides in the nervous system. Also found in some chromaffin cells of the adrenal medulla.
Storage
Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
Expiry Date
12 months after reconstitution
Shipping
This item will be shipped to you at ambient temperature in a lyophilised form.
