Immunogen
A synthetic peptide from the 1t lumenal part of human transmembrane channel-like protein 6 (TMC6, EVER1, Protein LAK-4, EVIN1) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the immunogen.
Accession
Also known
TMC6, EVER1, Epidermodysplasia verruciformis protein 1, Protein LAK-4, EVIN1
Target
SUBCELLULAR LOCATION: Endoplasmic reticulum membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein.
TISSUE SPECIFICITY: Expressed in placenta, prostate, testis, activated T-lymphocytes and lymphokine-activated killer (LAK) lymphocytes.
DISEASE: Defects in TMC6 are a cause of epidermodysplasia verruciformis. It is a rare autosomal recessive genodermatosis associated with a high risk of skin carcinoma that results from an abnormal susceptibility to infection by specific human papillomaviruses. Infection leads to persistent wart-like or macular lesions.
Storage
Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
Expiry Date
12 months after reconstitution
Shipping
This item will be shipped to you at ambient temperature in a lyophilised form.
